CrossFit 414 Community Events

The Open has come and gone and the good weather will hopefully be rolling in soon. That means it is time to start to get outside and test your fitness. See below for some awesome events that you can get on your summer calendar. Get outside the gym and put all of your hard work to the test!

Upcoming Events at CrossFit 414:

May - Ultimate. This will be a great way to put all of our fitness to use and try out a new sport! On May 9th we will be meeting at Gordon Park to learn and play some Ultimate. Amy Donahue will be teaching us the basics and then we can split up into teams and try our hand at a game and then hang out and have some drinks after.

May - Memorial Day Murph. In honor of Lt. Michael P. Murphy we will be running the Hero WOD Murph on Monday, May 25th. The workout is a 1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, and another 1 mile run. We will be building up for this workout over the next couple of months and it is always a great way to kick off your Memorial Day!

June - Rock ‘n Sole Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, or 5K. All of the races begin at 7am on Saturday, June 13th. The prices vary based on which race you are signing up for and how soon you register for the race, but included in your registration is one free General Admission ticket to Summerfest as well as entry to the Post-Race Party on the Summerfest grounds featuring live music, food and beverages.

July - The Midwest Monster. This was an awesome CrossFit competition put on at CrossFit 262 last year and they are bringing it back the weekend of July 11th and 12th. They have an Rx ($100), Scaled ($80) and a Team ($150) division. The Rx division has to compete in both the Olympic Weightlifting portion on the 11th as well as the CrossFit competition on the 12th. All other divisions can choose to compete in just one or both. Register here by this Monday and use the promo code "EARLYBIRD" for a discounted rate on the registration.

Let everyone know in the comments section at the bottom of this post if you are signed up or planning on signing up for any of these events!
